Chinese firm Anhui Schutten Solar Energy Co Ltd has received orders for 33.5 MW of its modules to power a photovoltaic (PV) array in Laos and an Indian solar farm.

The PV products manufacturer today said that its 300-W Poly modules have been used for a 2-MW solar array, located in the city of Vientiane in Laos. Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor Phongsubthavy Road And Bridge Construction Co Ltd hooked the system to the grid during the third quarter of 2014.

The Indian order, on the other hand, is for 31.5 MW of modules and was placed by Indian utility Essel Infraprojects Ltd earlier this month. The solar farm will be located in Punjab province.

Schutten Solar did not disclose any financial details on the two deals.
